Collin Bourisset Moulin a Vent

|
Known to the Romans as "Romana esca", the village of Romaneche, where the celebrated Moulin-a-Vent vineyards lie, boasts more than 2000 years of wine production. This wine originating from salmon colored granite soil and named "Moulin-a-vent" after the ancient windmill set on the hillside, has traditionally been considered the king of the Cru Beaujolais. Since the 19th century the Hospice at Romaneche accumulated over 17 acres of the best vineyards through donations by families under its care. Each vintage until 1926 was sold at public auction. In 1926 the firm of Collin-Bourisett was invested with the exclusive care of the Hospice's prestigious wine. The label and capsule date back more than 80 years. MVH02
