We have had this Burgundy off and on for the past couple of years. The common thought about the Cote de Beaune Pinot is that they can be fairly light and nondescript, but Domaine de Liger Belair shows us otherwise. Often overlooked in favor of its neighbors Pommard, Le Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny les Beaunes gave Liger Belair wonderful fruit to produce a deeply colored Pinot Noir with earthy aromas and intense fruit. Is there anything that beats a good Burgundy? SLB04
